Wise Auto Shutdown is a small utility with a very simple function: it allows you to schedule such basic tasks as shutting down, restarting, logging off, hibernating or sleeping of your PC.
The application has a nicely designed and straightforward interface. Therefore, any user with just a few basic computer skills can use it without difficulty. In order to schedule a task, you need to pick the desired task first and then set the time condition that will trigger it. For instance, you can configure a specific time and date. Another option is to set the time period after which the task will be executed. Finally, you can program recurrent tasks that will be run at a given time on a daily basis. While you set the current task, you receive clear information in text form about the type of task and the conditions for its execution. Furthermore, you can set the program to ask for a confirmation five minutes before the task is executed, which avoids unwanted system shutdowns.

All in all, Wise Auto Shutdown has the main advantage of being extremely easy to use. However, its usability is at the expense of sophistication because, unfortunately, there is no way you can schedule tasks to be repeated only on certain days of the week. Moreover, you cannot schedule more than one task at the same time. In addition, the confirmations will always appear five minutes before the task execution and you cannot set them to appear at any other time period. Finally, although it can run from the System Tray, the program needs to be started manually as there is no option to make it start along with the system.
